Layered Staining

I have recently began offering "layered stain" as an option for finishing on my products. Some folks have sent questions asking what that is. The layered stain is a multi-step process that starts with a base color and then additional layers of finish are added to give the final product a "weathered or aged" look.

The above picture is three pieces of wood that have been "aged" using the layered process. They are, from left to right,..Special Walnut, Kona, and American Walnut.

Above is a picture of a table finished with a single American Walnut stain.

This table was finished using a layered process with American Walnut as the base stain. The color is much lighter and more washed out, giving it an aged, rustic look.

Depending on your decor, I offer both styles of finishing. There is an additional charge for the layered stain as it does require additional product and time to complete the look.
